During the Fall break at school, the Southern Union Pathfinder club held their camporee (happens every 5 years)- starting Wednesday through Sunday. Kaleb went out on Wednesday with the Js, and then Karis joined him on Thursday - tenting it outside until Saturday night when they came home. It was a fun time with lots of activities (although the weather was hot, so that made it a little less lovely in the heat of the day!)
There were about 5-6000 pathfinders there - so it was quite an experience - always so fun to see the kids to get to have these memories!

Over the days there, the pathfinders were able to do some honors - and Kaleb did Blacksmithing, which is one that you just don't often get a chance to do so that was pretty cool!
They also had set up "messiah's mansion" which was in essence a recreation of the sanctuary that the kids could go through and experience.
On Sabbath they all got dressed up in their uniforms and participated in inspection and the march/parade. Fun to see Kaleb with all of the various honors he has done over the years - he has been very engaged and gone the extra mile each year - good for you kiddo!
Love these two guys! |
